Creating hybrid structures based on nanowires and carbon dots for nanophotonics elements.
The mechanisms of interaction and efficient charge carrier injection from luminescent nanoparticles to nanowires (nanowhiskers) with a large surface area are being investigated. Under certain conditions, nanowhiskers can act as resonators, enhancing the fluorescence of particles decorating their surface. These hybrid structures can be employed in the production of photosensitive sensors and detectors.
