Growing metal oxide nanostructures in situ on a 2D matrix for expanded photocatalytic applications

This project focuses on the development and investigation of properties of TMO/MXene nanocomposites, where TMO stands for Transition Metal Oxide, and MXene refers to a two-dimensional titanium carbide (Ti3C2). The aim of the project is to synthesize nanocomposites that will be utilized for environmental remediation, particularly in the selective photodegradation of water pollutants. Additionally, these nanocomposites are intended for use in energy applications, such as hydrogen production through the photocatalytic splitting of water.
