General Information

Improvement of energy efficiency and reliability, environmental and technological safety of low temperature systems are the principal directions of research work at the laboratory.

This research work is a continuation of the well-established research directions at Institute of Refrigeration and Biotechnologies in the field of heat transfer and hydrodynamics of refrigerants phase change as well as fundamental and pilot studies of gas dynamics in compressors and expanders.

Novel research is focused on heat transfer and hydrodynamics of two-phase flows in minichannel heat exchangers; additionally, hybrid gas-lubricated bearings and linear compressors are studied as alternative for centrifugal and axial compressors
